Default USB devices

Hi

So to my disappointment I found out that there isnt any usb powered hard-drives... So to my second question...

What usb devices am I able to use with my toshiba e740? I have a kvm switch so I was wondering if it might be possible to use a usb to ps2 converter and then plug it and the vga cable into the switch?

Is there anyother fun stuff you can buy and use with it?

Thanks

Only if the keyboard supports USB signals. Most PS/2 keyboards don't. :|

If you're going to buy something, though, why not make it CF? Those accessories are explicitly designed for Pocket PCs.

His device has built-in USB HOST support.

Any USB Client device with low power requirements (Keyboard, Mouse, cf/sd/ms readers, ...) will work with HID and MSC drivers from DeJe http://www.deje.gmxhome.de/ (WM2k3 MSC driver from AnyPak http://www.anypakusa.com/)
Others using the same drivers (eg. hard drives) will work with external power.

Why HP does not support USB Host, I do not know

Of course I know that -- I have an e805.

My point is that CF solutions are generally more compact and designed for Pocket PCs. USB is convenient for connectivity, but if you can find a CF solution why not use that?

Well, if you really like USB keyboards, grab a wireless keyboard/mouse combo for $50US. The receiver usually plugs into a USB port. Now that'll be cool if it works.

Don't know where you'll find drivers for the setup though ops:
