My orange wifi light does not come on

I have a e800 running wm2003se. I had to hard reset it and used spb backup to restore it. I noticed that whenever I turned on the wifi switch, the orange light at the top right corner of my device does not turn on anymore. Wifi itself works, just not the notification light.

I searched the web and found a old posting on Brighthand. Someone suggested installing a new version of ResFix to get the light working again. I tried this, but it didn't help. Short of hard resetting my device, can anyone tell me of a way to fix this?

i ended up having to hard reset my device. afterwards, the orange wifi light started working correctly.
