Default Bad response times with hardware -buttons on e310

I purchased this little devil a couple of weeks ago, and I'm quite satisfied with it - the best PDA I've used so far. Size / feature factor is just amazing. 8)

But I noticed one serious flaw in it. When playing the hardware buttons register multiple presses (directional pad and some other key at the same time), but the response times leaves a lot to be desired. It's something between a quarter of a second to half a second.

Needless to say, this renders the hardware buttons completely unusable in gaming. It just isn't possible to foresee every surprise in the game, atleast not for me.

I contacted the Toshiba online chat help, and the person there said that there is nothing he can do, because the problem is with third-party software. I insisted that this was not the case, that the problem is with Toshiba responding slowly to GAPI, which is a part of PPC OS. I couldn't convince him, even if I told him, there was no such problem any other PPC I've tested with the same exact programs.

Is there any workaround for this and has Toshiba confirmed this problem? Of course I can use the on-screen virtual keypads that emulators for example have, but it just isn't the same. Any help appreciated.

The E- series of PDA's have been known to have a delay of buttons during games. Especially annoying when playing Pocket Athlete. No recall or anything unfortunatly.
