Ameo/HTC Advantage bluetooth performance

I have had my Ameo for a month now and am generally v happy indeed. However, bluetooth seems to be under-performing compared to my old Nokia phone

I used to be able to move comfortably around my home or office with BT connecting up to reasonable - say 100 feet - from where I left my phone. The Ameo will only hold the connection up to around 20 feet, even with my Motorola S705 which is supposed to be able to connect to 300 feet

Is the the famous Microsoft BT stack? Are there any tweaks I can make to increase the distance?

First welcome to PPCT!

The Ameo is a BT Class 2 device, which is rated at around 10m. Class 1 devices (which are extremely rare) are rated at 100m. I'm very surprised that there are any phones at all which use BT Class 1.

As to what you can do about it - not a thing I'm afraid, sorry. It's hardware related, not software at all.
