Acer N300 V1.00.22 AKU3.5 ROM Update

For all you Acer N300 users out there, Acer have released on to their FTP site a ROM update to AKU3.5 (ROM version V1.00.22):

I've installed the update and it makes a huge difference to stability and memory management. I no longer have to soft reset every day or remove the battery on a regular basis.
To install the update, carefully follow the instructions at:

Pay particular attention to the format of the SD card (not FAT32). If the update is successful you will briefly see the green MS Direct Push Technology screen after a soft reset.

Yay! Thanks for making us aware of that.

I've installed it, which worked just fine, and I'm happy to see a few enhancements on the device (additional wireless connection options in the Today screen, etc). And the stability issues you mentioned will be a relief, too.

Nice to see some effort at after-care -- way to go Acer!

I still love this device, and can't see anything out there that tempt me to switch.

v1.00.23 is out there - not much different from v1.00.22 but working great and completely stable for me. They did remove PocketTV altogether from the ROM which I am happy with - never used it.

v1.00.24 is available now although no sign of the World Wide English release yet. Only appears to be two small fixes in the release log.
