loox and Nokia 8310

I would like to connect the 2 devices, via infrared port. Well, after started
the infrared option on the phone and the same on the loox, on his screen there is always written: "Connection with a Nokia 8310, in progress....",and that's all. What should happen after this, than ?
Because for me , after 1 or 2 minutes , nothing is changing, on the screen.
Where I'm wrong ??

I'm still find out how I can solve this problem. Is there somebody who know something about the IR connection between loox and GPRS phone , most in deep A nokia 8310 ? Thx.
