TV Remote on Jornada 540

I´m trying to give life to a little used Jornada 540.
Is it possible to install a TV Remote Control program? All I tried were´t accepted.
Any upgrade help, link, .... would be welcomed

I doubt the Jornada 540 has a powerful enough Ir port for remote functions.
