Default Screen Woes

The screen on my Jornada 565 has gone wonky. The left 1/4 or so displays pure white, and the right 3/4 looks like a TV whose Vertical and Horizantal hold have been attacked by rabid mice.

The touch screen works as well as can be expected (it makes the click sound).

Is there an easy and/or reasonably priced fix for this, or should I start looking for a new PDA?

My guess is that either the screen is wearing out, or the interconnect cable between the screen and the PCB has issues.

You might want to try contacting Pocket PC Techs, but considering how old that unit is, you might seriously want to budget up for a new unit instead.
