Jornada 56x series and MS Mobil PPC Windows 2003?
I don't know any of the advantages of 2003 over 2002, but has anyone tried to install 2003 on their PPC? How did it go?
Thanks!

The Jornada line is dead...
There aren't any ROM upgrades for the 56x's...

Mobile PC 2003
Steve,
I know that ihe line is dead... Is there a problem with loading the IPAQ 2003 update on a Jornada? On desktop PCs, I can upgrade OS systems to my heart's content. :?:

Re: Mobile PC 2003
I find this quite frustrating myself  . I've read mixed reviews on 2003 and the line is split as far as I'm concerned. My worry is that in the future, some apps will not be compatible with 2002 . You know this will happen. For now, I'm sticking with my 565 and 2002. If you find a way around this, let me know!
Thanks...........

No. Desktop OSs have hundred and thousands of drivers, dynamically chosen by the install process. ROM images are custom built. They are so specific that a bluetooth equipped ROM for a 3970 won't work on a non-bluetooth 3950 or even a BT equipped 3870.

Re: Mobile PC 2003
I don't remember where I read the post (Brighthand, maybe???) but there were 7 or 8 pages of testimonials where 565 users installed the Ipaq '03 with apparent success.
I'm not willing to try, however.

Anyone remember this post and where it was? I have a spare 568 rom I would probably be prepared to try this out on!

i would gladly test this upgrade on my jornada 568, if you can tell me where to get it. aren't there upgrades out for ipaq branded ppc's that are the same exact hardware of the 568?
