Default Jornada 568 - Backlight dead - any chance to repair?

I'ver tried to find a link or email address that will tell me how to get the backlight on my 568 repaired. I believe I'll find that it's too expensive, but I would at least like to find out.

If anyone knows a path for this, I'd appreciate a heads up.

Thanks!
Brian

ppctechs.com reportedly can fix the Jornada still. I had them replace my lcd once.

You might try Pocket PC Techs. I don't know if they do that particular repair, but it's worth an inquiry. My screen busted on my Jornada, but I don't think I'm going to try and get it fixed. I didn't check with them, but the screen alone is prob about 60 or 70 dollars, so....

Default I had already found this same guy and he did a great job!

Hey everybody,

The link referenced in the above email is what I had used, in fact just got the unit back yesterday. For $55 he did a complete workover and the unit works flawlessly. I highly recommend him for your HP repairs.

Cheers,

Brian

Well, I decided to go that route, too, and sent my Jornada with a busted screen off. I'll report back, but so far, Dave has been very helpful with e-mail responses.
