Default jornada 540

I have an hp jornada 540, and I need a newer os system for the device, I have never changed anything on it since I bought it back in 2000.Does anyone know any free software or new os system that I can install in this sweet device.

Unfortunately, you are stuck. The 54x series did not have a flashable ROM. No OS upgrade for you...

You can look for free software (and I'll search for a list of sites and append it to this post in a minute), just make sure you download the SH3 versions of the software...

Default Still use my Jornada 548...

Hmmm what I have on mine is Pocket FaceLift, and ThemeMaster which are great, they work smoothly and the developers are very helpful.

Not free but the trial versions work good, so good I went ahead and paid for it and I am completely satisfied. I use an Axim X5 now for work and personal use, but still have my Jornada in my gym bag for my workouts.

Also have an Ambicom Wireless CF Card which works on both PPCs. I was surprised it worked with my Jornada, but it does!

Hope this was helpful!

I liked pocket Facelift so much that I even used it on my 568 for quite a while (mainly for the cascading menu).
