Default copilot live and J567

Hello,
I recently bought off eBay a copilot live gps compact flash to use with my J567.
The J567 is a CF type 1 and the copilot CF is of type 1 and 2.
I have a hard time to insert the copilot cf in to my Jordana, and I do want to force it in.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks.

Unfortunately I think you are out of luck here. The CF slot on a J567 will only take Type 1 cards, and I don't know of any way to convert Type 2 cards to fit in a Type 1 slot.

I'd suggest you try to resell the GPS unit.

If you can find one, Atek used to make a converter (I had one for my 548)...

Take a look at this:

You may want to google "Atek CF" and see what you can find...

Thanks guys,
"unknown card in slot 1". Does it mean only that CF is in the CF slot but not recognized by the Jordana? Is there any other meaning besides that.
Thanks

It sounds like you need to install the drivers for the PDA to recognize it.

You could always get the PCMCIA adapter for your Jornada. They're really cheap on Ebay.

Don't know about your particular GPS, but my Holux GPS is also recognized as an unknown device or serial port (can't remember which). It's only the GPS software I use that sees it as a GPS.
