Battery/Power Troubleshooting

Just received an E-125 that was used for a very short time approx 1.5 years ago. Since then, it was left in the box. I removed the backup battery, and attempted to charge the main battery following the steps in the manual. The charge light comes on for approximately 1 sec and then turns off. Is this a sign the main battery requires replacement? Any other thoughts? Thanks

I replaced the primary battery and all is well. Apparently, if the amber charge light comes on and then immediately extinguishes, then the primary battery is no longer rechargeable.
