Default WM6 for HP iPaq hx2495?

I bought my HP iPaq hx2496 a couple months ago (because of that looks xP), so I'm wondering if we'll ever see a WM6 upgrade for it. It seems like a fairly new product, and I know HP can support older devices (another reason I bought one), so what do you think?

i really hope so, since i love how it looks

[EDIT] um.. yea... please also reply and tell me why you think what you thought...

cheers,
Vapour

I very, very much doubt it - see below.

Sorry, but I think you're wrong on both counts. The 2495 is actually based on a WM2003SE model, with slightly upgraded hardware. The original model was launched in early 2005 IIRC, and the 2495 was issued when WM5 was launched. Also, HP has a spotty record with regards to OS upgrades.

Yes, its just the cost-effectiveness analysis which always points
towards new models and not upgrading older ones. Just like
the average driver purchases a new car every 4 years now
and 10 years ago it was more in the 6-7 year range.
