Default wifi 2003 help needed

I recently upgraded my 5455 to 2003. The upgrade is great, but I think something's wrong with my wifi. When I'm right next to a wifi connection and turn my wifi on, nothing pops up to tell me that a network has been detected. Then, when I turn off my wifi, it detects the network, but is unable to connect because the wifi is off. When I turn the wifi back on the network isn't detected. I'm not very wifi savvy, but I hoped for 2003 to help remedy the need for expertise. Am I doing something wrong? What do I do?

Some things to try: Disable WEP, Disable all IP/MAC filters, turn on SSID broadcast...

See if you can connect...

Sorry for being ignorant, but how exactly do I do those three things? I know you probably don't have the time to explain it in detail, but is there an online manual that I could read about them?

Well that would depend on what Wi-Fi equipment you have. There should be a control program for your AccessPoint, or a web page that you log onto to set your AccessPoint up.

Install a program called PocketWinc. It detects and connects to access points.
