Default Waiting?

:?: I was wondering since a new processor is coming out should I wait.
I really would like to get 3955. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Peace and Blessings

A new processor is coming (the new XScale, PXA255), but it's not yet clear when new devices based on this processor are coming out.

If you already have a decent Pocket PC, then you might want to wait. On the other hand, the 3955 is a pretty decent unit, and if you can find a good deal it might be worth splurging for, unless you really need the additional speed. I was going to upgrade from a 3870 to a 5450, but decided to wait in light of the news.

Ah. Well, you're in the usual catch-22 anyone is stuck in whenever they want to buy a new piece of technology. Either wait for better stuff, or get stuff now and watch new stuff come out.

I don't have a straight answer for you as to what's the correct solution. I can say that the 3955 is a decent unit with an amazing screen, and if it meets your requirements it isn't a bad choice. What do you want to do with the unit?

Well, I decided to get the 1910 for now and learn everything about it and then when the new processors come out then I will upgrade. I just wanted something I can use right now and anyway it will give to an excuse to buy a new toy.

Peace and Blessings

Another decent 3955 deal is Amazon.com -- $500 with a $50 Amazon.com rebate (most PDAs have $25-$50 rebates during the month of February).

Just go to Amazon and search on ipaq 3955.
