I have got a new Ipaq 3970 from HP as my old one broken.
This Ipaq come without the serial number serial that why I could not install softwares that required licenses.
I have been to the local HP lab and they say they need to find out how to install the serial into the IPAQ
Is there any software that will allow me to insert the serial number to my Ipaq (the IPAQ have the serial number on the back)
If there is such software where can I get it and how can I use it
Please help as I can’t use my Ipaq

You should contact the HP site that sent you the device without a serial number and have them remedy the situation.

Can you imagine the chaos it would cause if there were readily available software out there to add serial or change serial numbers?

They don’t have new Ipaq available now. They say I will need to wait.
That’s why I am looking for solution by entering the serial number to my Ipaq.
I am trying to use the destinator for example.
