Default Sound Issue on iPaqs

I applied a long time ago a solution like this one but the file used was old and even when the problem was resolved I got new problems with other applications: WMPlayer and PocketDivx. So I went back to my original file.

Today, somebody sent me a file to resolve this problem.

All you have to do is uncompress the file, and copy the wavedev.dll in \windows folder of your ipaq, soft reset and that's it.

I posted the file in my site.

File to be copied

Default And what about iPaq 3800?

Is there a specific version of this patch to the iPaq 3870? Has anyone tried it on 3800 series?

I applied the Compaq offical fix instead... Speaker still pops every now and then, but the volume for the first 2 notches have decreased a lot. Which is a good thing because before I could not use media player with my headphone, with the ridiculously loud volume
