Default Software for 2215: XScale, ARM or either?

RE: new iPAQ 2215. I usually install from CAB files. If a software title offers XScale or ARM I figure I should choose XScale, right? What if only ARM, MIPS or SH3 are offered?

Lex, as a really basic guide, unless your Pocket PC is more than 2-3 years old, it's a safe bet that you have an ARM.

Edit: And I mean the ARM-classification of processor, not the anatomical upper limb.

Hi Darius, The HP website says the 2215 has a "400MHz Intel® XScale™ processor". But ARM CABs will work if XScale isn't offered, right?

Yes.

These days, I rarely see XScale-specific CAB files offered. You'll generally find ARM CABs now.
