There's also the HP Photosmart Mobile Camera (though HP has not updated the driver in years). But like Sven said, don't expect stellar image quality.

[edit]: found it! its by a company called lifeview. the flycam 1.3mp with flash, a real flash. i was about to get this thing until i got my canon digital rebel =P. looks like the flycam took a high price hike, perhaps they arent being made anymore? no idea. ebay!

You may also want to read Gerard's excellent posts on this camera.

A digicam for the same price will run circles around an SDIO camera. You'll be paying a premium for miniaturization, instead of image quality. And it's too inconvenient to have to stick it in just to take a pic. I have a CF camera, but don't use it anymore. Just too inconvenient.
If you're not a stickler for image quality, I'd recommend a camera phone instead for the following reasons: you always have it with you, it's always turned on, you don't have to stick anything in, never needs a soft reset.

Hi Darius,
Do you have sample pictures of the HP camera? Can it run on ppc2003se?
I currently own a HP Jornada CF camera (300K). I used to own a Flycam 1.3MP (with flash). The image quality from the Jornada was surprising better but the Flycame was much less pixelated and the flash helped to ensure images are are dark indoors. I sold the flycam because it was too bulky.
I am intrigued to buy the HP photosmart mobile if the image quality is ok...
if you can help post some sample images, I will be able to ascertain how good it is.
thanks in advance

I don't have the camera, so unfortunately, I cannot test whether it's compatible with WM2003SE and what the image quality is like.
To address the first issue, the camera was designed for WM2003. I believe once HP released their batch of WM2003SE devices, they stopped selling the camera. Over the past couple of years, no updated drivers have been released, and most resellers aren't even selling new ones anymore (including Amazon). So, your best bet would be eBay.
Addressing the second issue, try searching for a few reviews such as this and this one. There are a couple of sample images posted.

Thanks Darius, for your reply.
From the review, the SD camera should perform slightly better than my CF camera although I did noticed alot of blue fringing not found from the Jornada camera. Now the nagging question is whether it will work on pc2203se.
I had a Audiovox 8000 GPRS/GSM module that was designed for PPC2003 and it failed to work on PPC2003SE..
Anyone here can help to confirm if it works on ppc2003se?
thanks and best regards

uh-oh...did some snooping and seems HP's standard drivers do not work properly on the 2003se platform and they are not making anything happen here either.

I seem to get the feeling 2003se pda owners will become to feel marginalised since this edition was just a short bridge between 2003 and 2005 and there is simply not enough motivation to develop software for it. I wished MS could at least provide a service pack that can improve on compatibility...sigh
