Question regarding new HP iPAQ 300 Travel Companion

The spec looks good, everything seems so perfect, but it is based on Windows CE 5.0 Core, and could anyone tell me if this thing runs any PPC software at all? Thanks

No, I don't think it will run Pocket PC software. You shouldn't think of it as a Windows Mobile Pocket PC, it's really just a slick GPS running on top of Windows CE.

Thanks for the quick reply, but is there any remedy that helps to get around, like updating the Rom and installing a brand new wm5 upon the CE 5 core, has anyone tried that on the similar device? Sorry, I am a little desperate, I am just so engaged with the hardware, there is no other device on the market with a spec this good.
