Default PocketPlus info please...

Anybody know the latest status on PocketPlus? Has spb got the program working happily with Windows Mobile 2003?

My main goal is to be able to get repeated custom alarms with increasing volume... if PocketPlus isn't ready yet does anyone have any other suggestions? I've tried SuperAlarms but that didn't even trigger alarms... So for now, I'm using the built-in alarms but I never hear them

Also while we're on software suggestions -- anybody know of a utility that displays battery capacity info? I tried BatteryPack and BatteryWatch but didn't like them -- I can't remember which one, but one installed a huge status bar with other info I didn't care for (even when I turned off other options) and the other kept getting killed by the OS (I think) and I'd have to re-launch it. I just want a little battery indicator on the top bar or the bottom bar that'll stay there and show me how much juice I have left -- nothing more...

griffin911 -- you said you're already using it with your 2215?!?!?

I thought there were issues with it still like what diesel says -- alarms not going off, etc...

I'm just worried 'cause in some past discussions it sounded like installing PocketPlus was a cluprit for some issues and simply removing it was not sufficient to solve the problems -- I haven't and won't install it until I get a 'warm and fuzzy' from this forum...

It'd be great if the app works fine on the 2215 now -- especially if it'll also show the battery info...

anybodyelse know for sure if it works or what?

I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I did install the sprite patch prior to installing PocketPlus. I don't know if that made any difference, but I haven't had any problems, despite being a heavy user.

I've been running it on my 2215 and there hasn't been any crashing or hanging issues for me.

I don't use the repeating alarms though.

Also, the brightness meter doesnt work (which I don't use anyways).
I think the iPaq File store is also wrong because it says that my ipaq file store is 17% full but there is 3 megs in there ( out of 3.8 total )

griffin,

you're confusing sprite's pocket backup plus with spb's backup plus...............we're talking about spb's backup plus in this thread, not sprite's software....................

Actually I was talking about spb's Pocket Plus.. not pocket backup plus... nor sprite's pocket backup plus... though I'm not familiar with either of them...

Anybody want to clue me in on these? Can I get the functionality I'm looking for in one or both of these?

I have just started using Pocket Syswatch on my 2210 which displays battery, memory info, etc on the bottom bar. You can pick which items to display so you can display just the battery info, just memory info, etc. The graphics for the icons are bland but it displays the info I want and does not take up space on the today screen.

Sorry, i dont know anything about the status other than SPB says they "are working on a fix" (and they have for quite a while) :grumble:

Same as me, i dont like some of the popular "Today battery bands" like "Battery pack 2003" as i see them as nothing but clutter :idontthinkso: (some like it tho). All i needed was a *simple* utility that showed the batterystatus in my title bar *always*, without the need to go to the todayscreen. One night i stubled across Qbar wich i really like. Its clean, efficient, small and do what its supposed to (+ u can set it to show mem info if u want). Take a look here if u want to try it: http://www.isimus.com/qbar/index.htm
