Default New iPAQ with GPS!

According to the CNET News.com article, HP will be introducing a new handheld with GPS this next week!

quote:
"HP plans to show off a variety of new iPaq handhelds, including devices with built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as well as the first HP handheld with built-in Global Positioning System technology."

Now, all they need to do is add cellular functionality and we'll be all set

Wow... now this could be an interesting week indeed!

I saw a couple cool points in this article:

1) The one mentioned already.... an IPaq with GPS!
2) Some new HP Bluetooth printers
3) and... finally a "uniform" (albeit Microsoft inspired) consistent method for "connecting to paid Wi-Fi services." It's called Wireless Provisioning Services, hmmmmm.... Let's hope they release a similar tool for Pocket PCs!!!

I can't help but wonder if the writer has misheard 'GPRS'? Following the 6000 series rumours on PPC Italia and reading the remainder of the article it is a distinct possibility...

Another case of reporters that don't know what they're talking about.

Actually it's not an iPaq with GPS, but a Bluetooth GPS :

HP released lots of new toys, including new Bluetooth Digital cameras, Bluetooth printers and more.
