What's the deal with a brand new hx2490 forgetting my CF card is plugged in? Keeps asking for driver name or similar complaint. If I unplug and re-plug the card the system sees it again. Works flawlessly in my old 2210. SD card has no problems. I searched here on 'unrecognized AND card' but only old posts appear. Thanks !

Sounds like a card initialization issue. Have you checked to see you are running the latest ROM updates and other related patches?

Ahh! I should have done that first. I'm already 6 hard resets in trying to get all my software running. (Contacts wouldn't sync, many files wouldn't, Wisbar Adv.2 froze the unit, etc.) I'll go look at the HP site but it'l1 be easier to buy a bigger SD card than do an OS upgrade to make a 2 year old CF card work ! :-) Thanks Janak.
