Default New computer need "how to" help

I am in the basement of technology knowledge.

I have an HP iPAQ hx2795b. I need to know how to move it to my new computer. According to the owner's manual my Active Sync is 3.7.1 which means nothing to me. I made sure the new unit would have outlook. However, I cannot locate the original disc as yet. Luckily it is the only one I am missing but something I have become dependent on. From reading this site, I obviously should have been doing some upgrading along the way.

Where do I go from here. Please make it simple. Step by step. I get rattled really easy with this stuff.

Thanks,

Rocky

Default Getting Connected

Well, I'm not sure what exactly your asking here. I guess the 1st piece would be to make sure you have ActiveSync installed on the new computer. You can go right to Microsofts web site and download it. The latest version is 4.5, and should work just fine with your device. If not you can go to my site: Legacy Handhelds and click on one of the ActiveSync links on the left hand column of the main page. Once that is installed you should be able to connect your device to the new computer, and it will ask you what parts of Outlook you want to sync (i.e. Email, Contacts, Calander...)

If I missed the point, let me know more specifics of what you wish to do.

Good luck!
