Mips, SH3, Arm
what is the difference between Mips, SH3, and Arm? I want the Ipaq 4155; which one is it (Mips, SH3, Arm)?

All new Pocket PC's have ARM processors. MIPS was used by Casio and SH3 was used by the HP Jornada line, up until PPC 2002 was released. With PPC 2002, Microsoft mandated ARM-only, so that's all you'll see now.

arm is best, and now the most widely used, the 4155 is xscale (arm).

Don't know if it is the best, but it is the only one MS has supported since PPC2002 came out, and is the only one iPAQs have ever used.

I totally agree with Sven... I would also not say that it was the best processor made... just the one that Micorsoft choose to support...
I personally thought the Mips processor had a lot more promise...

the quote "arm is the best" is true for now, but new TI proccessors have more controllers built in so they occupie less space and use less power.
