Default Ipaq 5450 password problem!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!, I have an hp 5450 and I recently upgraded to ppc 2003 but everytime I turn on the device it asks for my password, I have tried to change password interval to 24 hour, 12 hour and every hour but it keeps asking for the password every time I turn it on, no matter if 5 minutes have gone by, does any one else have the same problem? I thought that the upgrade would solve this problem. thanks!!!

I am assuming you have the password, right?

I'm told this is a common error, to which there is no fix yet. I have one too, and have the same problem.

Sorry.

Chris:

You have a 5455; don't you have this problem with WM2003? Most people do.

Just curious...

I have the 5455 with 2003 and do not have this problem either...

Well, actually... No. But that's because I WANT to have my 5455 ask me for a password everytime I turn it on. I don't want just anyone getting access to my data and device.

I've got Nice Start installed and use a PIN or Fingerprint.

However, when first setting the device up after a periodic hard reset (and before the password is reset) I have NOT bumped into this problem. Maybe I'm just lucky...

Since I upgraded by 5555 to that last small rom fix if I set a password and leave it off for a while I have to soft reset to turn it on. Anyone seen this?
