The ipaq website seems to claim the 3600 series has a battery life of about 10 hours. I have an ipaq 3660 which i recently got off ebay, but the battery only lasts for around 2 hours with the backlight off.
Is the battery dead or is the ipaq website wrong?

The battery sounds knackered, you can get hold of replacements if you are confident on opening the device up and taking out the old one...

Batteries tend to lose capacity after 18 months or 2 years.

Indeed, it sounds dead. My original 3650 probably got somewhere near 8-10 hours or so with the backlight off when it was in mint condition.

Pocket PC Techs is one of the companies that sells replacements. They'll ship you a battery with replacement instructions, or, if you're uncomfortable with opening your iPAQ, you can ship it to them.

Oh dear..... oh well, I was aware af the risks of buying on ebay! I have sent an email to the guy who sold it to me to see if he knows anything.

Another problem though... I think this is a limitation of the ipaq rather than problem. When playing driving games etc, I cannot seem to hold down two buttons at once.
Any ideas?
