Default iPAQ 2210 doesn't always turn on - clock stops

I've had my iPAQ for several months now. Recently it has stopped turning on. I can always get out of this by pressing the soft reset and it recovers.
I notice that the clock is wrong after this and shows the time that I last turned it on. Perhaps this is just a function of the soft reset though.

I have tried a hard reset followed by a restore and it still behaves the same.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Stephen

Try a hard reset and then rebuild it from scratch.

Restoring it from a back up wasted your hard reset, unless you knew the back up was good.

If after the rebuild you still have problems, you might need to have the unit serviced as it is probably defective.

Hard reset again, do not add any software. If the unit still behaves the same way, have the unit serviced...

Try going to this website and checking out their free utility. It sounds like the problem you were having was caused by the check_notify database. This will prevent it from returning:
