I'm in the market for a packet pc and i have my eyes glued on this 1935. I need some real feedback on it. I want to hook it up to my wirless network in my home with my wireless usb hookup. is that possible? and what are some downsides to it?

Default Lack of keyboard?

-
Hi
-
I am thinking of buying a new iPAQ. Question is 2215 or 1940. I think the 1940 is the 1935 but with Bluetooth.

Downside for me is the adaptor at the bottom doesn't work with my Targus Stowaway Keyboard. Can anyone confirm this.

As for WiFi - I think the new iPAQ 1935 and iPAQ 1945 are SDIO which means that you could use a SDIO WiFi card.

Maybe you could wait for the new 4000 series iPAQ to come out - I think it will be both Bluetooth and WiFi. Anyone know about the serial adaptor?

The h1930/35 (same thing) is fantastic! I can use it moderately for a few days without needing a recharge, and the screen in great in all light. I use it with a Proporta Aluminium Hard Case (www.proporta.com) and it is still small and light.

The SD slot is SDIO, and supports the new Sandisk (www.sandisk.com) WIFI card, and the other WIFI cards available.

The sync/charge port is INCOMPATIBLE with the keyboard because

1. It is not serial-compatible, so keyboards won't work.
2. It is the opposite way around to the port on the h3xxx and h5xxx series iPAQs.

If you need a keyboard I recommend the Targus keyboard. It looks great and will work on all PDAs, so you wouldn't need to get a new one if you upgrade your PDA (not that you'll want to!!!).

Other than the sync/charge port issue, it is a great Pocket PC all around. It is faster, light and looks GREAT!!!!

Doesn't the 1935 lack bluetooth, have a slower processor and 16MB LESS ram (note: not rom) than the 1940?

Be sure you're ready to accept these limitations

It is a little slower but not much, and it doesn not have the blue tooth. The ram is equal, it is the rom which is different

Oh right, 1935 is 64 ram and 16 rom wheras the 1945 is 64 ram and 32 rom. That means a smaller ipaq file store on the 1935

There is no iPAQ File Store on the h1930/35. The other differences between the h1930/35 and h1940/45 are:

1. The h1940 has 16MB more ROM, 14MB of which is iPAQ File Store.
2. The h1940 has a Samsung 266Mhz, the h1930 203Mhz.
3. The h1940 has Bluetooth, the h1930 doesn't has it at all.
