Default hx4700: If I take out the battery, will it HARD RESET the unit?

In my 5455, iI sometimes took out the battery for a "soft reset". However, the hx4700 have a "batter" switch button and I am wondering if I switch this to "unlock" and remove the battery, will it hard reset the unit?

If you take the main battery out and wait long enough for the internal backup battery to drain, then yes, it'll hard reset.

The answer is 'no, it won't hard reset your ipaq'.

Have switched out the battery several times on my 4700 with no issues. It was the first thing I tested before loading any software onto this device.

And yes, when the 5450 first came out (my last device) removing/changing the battery would cause an instant hard reset, even though the backup battery was fully charged. I learned of this the first three times (I am a slow learner) I tried it. A patch was later released to correct this problem.
