Am new to this forum as just bought a HP hx2110 on an online auction. It didn't come with a cable to connect to my PC. I was wondering if someone could answer these questions for me (they are quite straight forward really..).
I was wondering if I should just buy a cheap sync cable, and was wondering if this is all I need to grab documents and other info off my pda. I know that this will syncronise the calendar, email, etc, but I wanted to check that this would allow me to transfer word docs, excel files to my PC.
And I also wanted to know whether this sync cable would grab everything from a sd card inside my pda?
Thanks heaps, I know that these are probably very obvious answers to these questions, but just want to check.

As long as the connector is compatible - and you have to be careful about this - then yes, you shouldn't have any problems. Just download and install Activesync on your PC first.

I don't know about "grab" - it's pretty similar to what you do on the desktop explorer (if a bit less reliable). Your SD card will appear as a separate folder to your PDA explorer window (through Activesync). To be on the safe side though, get a card reader - it's more reliable and quite a bit faster than Activestink.

i've been looking online for the right sync cable but not many of them specify my model.
are most of the hp connectors compatible? i saw a post previously that basically said the models listed below use the came connectors. Do you know if this is correct? as i'm currently thinking of buying a universal ipaw non-hp brand cable....
For the most part, I believe most iPaqs do have compatible connectors - the problem is that a few don't, which makes things a little confusing. Maybe someone else can answer this.

Yes, almost all iPAQs have a universal connector. There are a couple of exceptions - namely, the h1900 series which has a reversed connector, and the h3100, h3600, and h3700 series which have different connectors altogether.
To cut a long story short, a universal iPAQ sync cable should work fine with your hx2110.
