Default HW6915 - Memory card access

Hi Community,

I just purchased my spanking new HW6915 last week and am really impressed with the unit.

However I have one or two questions I was hoping you guys in the know could advise me on.

First off, I purchased a 1 gig mini sd card for the unit, however I was wondering if windows mobile allows you to access the card by means other that activesync. I have a Samsung D600e cell phone with a t flash card, and once I couple it to my pc via usb I can access the card on "My Computer" and upload and download files as I wish, just like a memory stick. What I find is that the tranfer speeds on file uploading and downloading when done through Active Synch is incredibly SLOW. And what about when you go visit an associate or friend who doesn't have bluetooth on his pc system, how do I transfer info from my unit to his?

I think I will keep it to the one question for now.

Hoping someone can help, and thanking you in advance.

Regards
Rabbit

Welcome to PPCT!

The best method of transferring files is far and away a USB2.0 card reader - it'll be at least ten times faster than AS transfers.

Have you tried Softick Card Export II? http://www.softick.com It allows you to access your SD directly on your computer through the Pocket PC.
