Default Hp1910 + SD = freeze and drain the battery ???

There might be a problem with a batch of 1910's. I thought I was the only unlucky guy, but I found out two other people in my company bought the same pda, and they have the exact same behavior, even with different brands of sd card (sandisk and toshiba).

The symptoms are:

- Put an SD card into the slot
- PDA slows down soon (in a day). Especially switching between applications takes sooo long.
- Eventually pda freezes.
- Soft-reseting bring the pda back to life, but it slows down again and the whole cycle repeats.
- Without an SD card, pda works just fine.

If the hang happens and the user does not notice it (i.e. when it is in th pocket or left on the table overnight), the battery will go dead and all the data is lost.

Hard-reseting the pda (i.e. not installing anything else) and inserting an Sd card afterwards does not change anything, it still freezes.

Does anybody else have the same problem?

i've heard about other 1910s with similar problems. apparently there was a problem with the SD slot on some devices. i've never had a problem with mine, though.
you've probably got a couple of options. assuming you just bought it, take it back to where you got it and tell them it's defective, or you can always contact hp.
