Default HP 6315s Unlocked?

Hi,

The subject pretty much asks my question. If I buy a 6315s from HP, am I getting and unlocked device? I'm considering a switch from ATT WS to T-Mobile or Cingular and I don't want to buy a locked device. I also travel overseas and us an international simm currently in a T68i I had unlocked. I'd love to travel with just one piece of electronics to do eveything.

Thanks,

Bill

Nope, haven't heard of an unlocked one yet, just requests on how to do it, or get it done. They are T-Mobile devices. If you already have T-Mobile you can buy one and stuff your SIM in it and it works fine according to the posts.

It is undoubtedly capable of being unlocked, but getting T-Mobile to do it hasn't been reported on as of yet.

You can get the HP 63xx unlocked via customer service... I just purchased one today and unlocked it this afternoon. I DID renew my contract for 1yr.
