The two most common ways are:

1. Via a 802.11b/g wireless LAN set up in your home, office, or in public (like a Starbucks').

2. Through a cell phone. This is generally slower, but works in more places.

Which one are you looking for?

Not in-and-of itself -- it's not a phone. It will work with Bluetooth-enabled phones, though.

Janak just saw the bottom of your reply regarding use as a phone. Thanks. Do you know how I would use it if someone else had bluetooth also?

Not by itself. If you need to be able to go online anywhere, you want to pair it up with a cell phone that has data capabilities. Do you have cell phone service, and if so, from whom?
