Default Give Your Ipaq SW developers a break HP

I was amazed to find out that HP has locked out the public from free access to their Ipaq SDKs. For example the Biometics API, Camera API and General SDK are now longer publicly available.

HP offers a developer solutions program which I have referred others to. But unfortunately now the associate membership does not provide free access to the SDKs.

In my opinion this basically hinders students and enthusiasts from tinkering and exploring new hardware platforms which they provide. Yes support and bug fixes I can see charges for but an SDK!

Yes, I noticed this too. I don't know what do they want to get with this. I don't think that they can make some big (at least for them) money on this and they will just loose some of young amateur programmers, that might work for them one day. I really don't know what's going on.

Out of curiosity, have you emailed them? I'd probably expect a very template response, but it's worth a shot.
