Default "Games" Folder contains an "icon" folder?

Hey guys,

I just noticed that there is an "icon" folder or something special in my "Games" folder. I can't recall if this was always there or not.. but something tells me not. I have not installed any new games... all I have is Jawbreaker and Solitaire. Can anyone tell me if this is correct and what the "icon" folder thingy is? I can't seem to open it...

Thanks!

oh what was it???

some program does that. i downlaoded a trial or freeware program that adds extra things to the pocket pc platform. one of the things it does is it puts a file called icon.something into each commonly used folder, and what this does is when you view the folder in your file explorer, the folder looks different than the others. so for example, the ie folder has the little ie planet on it. the games folder has something to do with games.

i didn't like what it did, i thought it was annoying, so i deleted all those icon files.

this might be what is happening with you as well. but don't take my word for it. i'm also too lazy to go and try find out what program that was.

It's a file that's hidden by default that gives the Games folder a special icon when viewed from the main Programs folder. This is there by default on all Pocket PCs -- it wasn't installed by some other program. It doesn't run or do anything other than change the appearance of the folder icon, though, so you can just ignore it.

I'm thinking it was PHM power toys(freeware). This program creates all sorts of extra folders, or just brings them to light.

Is it possible to add icons to new folders?
