Default Exchange Server E-mail

:? Is there any article that gives information on connecting a 3670 to Exchange Server directly? We have tried many, many things and haven't had any success. Our IT department prefers not to be much help. Thanks for your help

Currently Microsoft is working on a server product called Mobile Information Server that will allow this kind of connectivity. To my knowledge there is currently no way to connect directly to exchange server. However if you are using a wireless card you can connect and check your e-mail off of the exchange server. An article on how to do this can be found at - http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pock...step/imap4.asp. Good luck with it!

Connect with it directly? have you tried IMAP protocol? If you can talk to your Exchange folks and see if they have IMAP enabled, you will be able to have your pocket outlook connect to your exchange server using IMAP. this will allow access remotely. You can also try to see if they allow you to use OWA Outlook Web Access. That is a web based representaion of outlook. I can log into OWA and using MultiIE open the emails by opening another instance of PIE. OR... you can try terminal server into your network and connect to outlook that way...... One of these options will work for you,,,

While all this is true, there is no way to connect directly for calendar, contacts, and tasks. IMAP is only for e-mail.

...unless you're running the Mobile Information Server, in which case direct syncing of email, calendar and contacts is supported with PPC2002 units.
