Default Bluetooth ActiveSync - Can it be done quicker than 5 taps?

-
Hi

I have an iPAQ 2210 and have set it up to ActiveSync via Bluetooth to my laptop with a USB Dongle.

The procedure I use is tap on the Bluetooth Icon - bottom right of today screen and turn Bluetooth On

I then tap the icon again and select Bluetooth Manager, I then double tap the shortcut I have set up.

So that is 5 taps to do an ActiveSync over bluetooth - is there a simpler way?

Martin

Yes there is.
Tap bluetooth icon, tap bluetooth manager (this turns on bluetooth if it is turned off)
double tap activesync

Im still searching for a one click shortcut for ya.. ill get back, but this will save one click at least ;p

I don't have Bluetooth on my PC or notebook so I've never tried this, but what does the setting in the following illustration do? I assume you'd still have to turn the Bluetooth radio on, but would this eliminate the Bluetooth Manager step? Go to Tools/Options in ActiveSync on the Pocket PC. This shows up on my h5455 upgraded to Windows Mobile 2003.

Well, it doesn't eliminate the Bluetooth Manager step (since that's how I have it set and I still have to use the BM to get an actual synchronization happening), and I believe you have to have that set in order to have Activesync use Bluetooth. Without this set, I don't think Activesync on the Pocket PC will recognize the connection and actually synchronize.

Can somebody please help me set up bluetooth active sync on my 2210? I have the devices paired and the active sync service installed on my desktop using COM4.

Thanks.

Scott: I have not yet done this myself, but I did find another post where someone pointed to this site http://home.comcast.net/~spam-target/index.html that has very extensive tutorials for everything BT with your PPC. I hope it helps you out!

I need help getting net acess. It works, but it will only work if i connect activesync. Also it is very very slow when i connect. I would assume that it would be a fast connection. HELP!
