Default Any news on the next 5400 series?

I'm looking to replace my iPaq3600 series PcoketPC (upgraded to 2002 OS) and heard/saw something about the next 5400 series iPaq that will be iPaq's solution to a pocketpc-phone - I can't recall if they were actually going to use the PocketPC phone OS, but I do remember that it looks just like the 5455 but will incorporate the mobile phone instead of WIFI.

I've been trying to find where I saw taht information (a couple of weeks ago) but am coming up empty. Depending on the news that anyone can contribute to this post I'll start making my decision between either the LOOX or this new iPaq.

I gotta get rid of that seperate cell phone and always carry my PPC with me. The XDA just doesn't have what I need as all I would be adding to the current devices in features is an integrated SD slot and a phone. I want to get on the X-Scale processor, have at least 64 memeory on board, the newer screen color resolution, an integrated SD and/or CF slot AND finally the phone - WITHOUT adding bulk to the device (like those pesky jackets).

Thats not too much to ask is it ?

Please feel free to submit rumors/thoughts - facts are always appreciated

hmm.. well im not quite sure about the iPaq version though i've been wondering about the purported 56xx series iPaq myself recently.. which is the line that's supposed to have integrated GSM or CDMA.. but i can offer this.. Samsung is set to release the SPH-i700 which is a Pocket PC Phone edition that meets most of your said requirment except the XScale processor part of it.. but the XScale has not yet been shown to offer any great performance gains anyway.. and i think that 300Mhz should suffice for most applications anyway.. anyway, just a thought..

if you really like to sync multiple times daily, try to buy one of those bluetooth enable phone, and a bluetooth cell, and then you can sync from anywhere., as long there's signal for your cell!, but it kind of costly ....
