Default 802.11b Card for 2215

Is the DLink CF card any good for a 2215? CompUSA has it for $30 after rebate this week. I run a DLink wireless router in my house, and it works well, but I was wondering if anybody had any experience with the CF card in a PPC running WM2K3.

Thanks.

Default D-Link Air DCF-660W

I've got it running with 2 H2215s,Xtreme bradband router and 2 DWL-G650. I got it to do everything but sync Calendar & Contacts, and I can stream radio with the awesome Optimized WIFI Sites from Microsoft. Haven't really had any issues, even though I am a total rookie as far as networks. Even has a hex WEP set up.

Beware the antenna, though: it blocks the stylus from coming out or being put back in.

check the last page if you need Linksys drivers for that CF11 or CF12 cards.

Default Drivers

Do the drivers do something different than the WM2K3 "Zero Config" capability? In other words, is it necessary to install drivers, or is it truly "plug and play?"

I'm leaning towards the AmbiCom, despite the higher price. I had an AmbiCom that came free with a Toshiba Genio e550, and it worked quite well (too bad I sold it when I upgraded to the 5450...).

ok, lemme try to explain with my limited knowledge since i haven't got my wi-fi card yet. The drivers just allow the OS to see it. To be "Zero Config" as WM 2003 supports the drivers have to be written a special way. Now with that said, what if your drivers aren't written specially for WM 2003. Odds are they'll work but you'll have to use the program that came with it to set up the options... i'm guessing Zero Config would be built into windows (as it is in Windows XP but if the drivers aren't written correctly then you have to use the program because that option doesn't show up when you check out network connections in XP)

here's an example of the program:

and here's an example of Wirless Zero config:

Taken from HERE

So there if that helps...
