Would anyone know where you could get a replacement protector for the CF slot. I was using a modem in the slot. Now I can no longer find the protector cover. I would prefer not to leave the slot empty if possible..

Any suggestions welcomed..

I can only really think of two options here:

(1) Contact HP and see if they provide any spare slot protectors, or
(2) I don't really know if anyone sells protectors, so another option may be to go out and get the cheapest CF memory card you can find - that way, you get the best of both worlds: slot protection, and extra memory! 8)

lol, yeah that's a no brainer, actually i'll get a mid range cf card, and it'll come in handy.

My CF card is a little smaller than the slot (Type ...1 I think) and there is an opening. Dust accumulated in there and I hate that. What should I do other than just tape over it?
