Default 3955 mic jack?

I was surfing today and came across a website advertising headsets designed for the 5400 series ipaqs. These headsets integrated a mic and stereo headphone (that means 4 conductors on the mini jack, or a TRRS configuration). My question is, I did a little bit more surfing, and found conflicting reports. Some sites claimed that the 3955 supported some sort of functionality similar to this, and some said it was the 5400 only. Does anyone know for certain whether it's possible to plug a mic/headphone (even if only mono) combo into a 3955?

I can't help with info about the 3900 series, but would you mind posting a link to the site where you found the h5400 series headsets?

Sorry but the 3900's don't have any mic input on them :soapbox: you would think that they would have put something like that into the ipaqs after the first series but I guess the drive for external mic input wasn't there. Anyhow I have a friend how has the headset for the 5450 but he doesn't like it. If anyone is interested I've found that you can get the 4 conductor plug from mouser pars for about $1.50. That way you can convert your old 2.5mm headset for use on the ipaq.

Thanks for the links and info, guys! Not sure if I have a use for one of these currently, but it's nice to know someone makes them!
