Thanks for this post. I downloaded the PDF and it was interesting reading. In particular if I am reading the paper correctly my iPAQ wakes up at midnight updates the calendar and tasks and goes back to sleep again depending on auto turn off settings. I recall a number of posts from iPAQ owners thinking their device woke up in the night - is it true. I'll try and check next time I'm up late.

Yeah, all the pocket PCs do it...

I have a Toshiba e550g, 3765, 3835, and two 3955 (one for my wife). The 3955s have the Symbol WiFi card...when they "wake" up at midnight...I can hear the cards being recognized by the PPC (it makes a laser sound). What's even funnier is when you place them together side by side and at midnight they all turn on (within seconds of each other)...it reminds of of those "cuckoo" clocks...
