Default 2215 and sudden shutdown

I recently bought two ipaq 2215s for myself and me wife.. we both noticed that nearly every time we switched on the device after some time being off it just suddenly switched off spontaniously with in 1-2min max, and then if switched on again it worked absolutely fine?!!! 8O
Did anybody notice such thing before, i really wonder what could cause this, i tried pressing the switch very lightly but that didn't work either.
thanks in advance 8)

I have noticed the same problem on my Toshiba e750 running Mobile 2003. The shutdown problem might be the fault of Mobile 2003, rather than the hardware.

Default The problem is well documented!

It has been linked to the iPAQ backup program. This problem occurs when you set-up a backup schedule using this program. Perform a search of this forum and update the built-in backup application on your handheld.
