1945 Menu Settings Problem

I was trying to set up a friend's 1945 last night at work, and for whatever reason, when I was in the Today screen settings, and tried to remove Tasks and Inbox off the main screen menu, they wouldn't remove.

The boxes would highlight when chosen, but they wouldn't uncheck those two items. I even tried a soft reset, still no go.

Anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be and how to fix it? Or if this is normal for the 1945's?

I don't have an iPAQ 1945, but that doesn't sound normal. Have you tried manually deleting them from the Start Menu folder?

No, I didn't think of that, but it's a good idea, I'll try that tonight.

If all else fails, I'll do a hard reset-I just found out she's had this for over a *year* and still had no idea what a ppc could do-ebooks, music, pictures, nothing, so it's a pretty blank slate even now and wouldn't be a big hassle for either of us.
