Default 1910 vs. 1945

Hi, I am looking at getting an entry level, used, or refurbished PDA. I want to spend less than $200, the less the better.

Someone here at work is selling a 1910 for $125, I am tempted to get it, but then I think I might want some of the extras in the 1945. Any advice? I dont have any bluetooth or sdio cards right now...its basically feature creep

My logical side says start cheap, upgrade later, but the other side says buy more features!

Where are you located..?

$125us is not a bad price for a well kept device and $125can is even better... with all the fix'ns... cradles.. manuals etc...

I guess the main question we need to ask is what it is you are looking to do with this device you are looking for. Starting with an older device is not a bad idea as long as you are aware of the limitations it may have. As I said on another thread that you started... my brother just got a Hp1910 and I think it will suit him fine. There may be a time he will grow out of it... but I do not see it in the near future.

Note that the Hp1910 is older generation device... but as a basic PocketPC I do not see how you can go wrong.

The new devices coming to the market offer alot more in the way of technology... but you are not near that price range. It would probably be best that you detailed what your needs are... you may not require a PDA... maybe what you need is what my girlfriend calls a PAD...

I need a Pocket PC so I can do software development for it. I was thinking a lower end model would be good, it would help me keep my software at a decent performance level.

I am located in NC, US.

Well if you are going to do software developement are you not going to want something with the latest operating system...? This would mean a current unit... and a lot more money... well over your budget.

I bought the 1910, any Pocket PC OS version will work for me, and this one had a price I could not argue with.
