1 File not Synchronized

This is a puzzler to me. I have had a 2215 for about 6 weeks and have only sync'd it with my work PC. Sync'd everything except Notes and AvantGo. Note, too, that I had a 548 previously and so know a little about PPC.

I finally obtained a sync n charge cable and so yesterday sync'd my home computer. Due to forgetting a lot about establishing partnerships I couldn't give my 2215 the same name as I had at work. So when I synced this morning at work, it took on the name I gave it at home. Everything seemed to go OK, however I now always have a "1 item not sychronized" message for 'Files'. I resync and it is still there. I uncradle and recradle and it's still there. I have checked, line by line, file by file, everything in the 'My Documents' folder on the 2215 and in the 'xxxxxx My Documents' folder on the PC. They match except for the 'Templates' folder on the 2215 which contains 11 files where on the PC that folder is empty. I've done a soft reset.

I have the same problem last night, I changed the name and, boom, same message and i have no soultion up to now. Did you try to change ppc name ?

he shouldn't have to change the name....I like keeping my name the same. It happens to me and i just pull it out the cradle and drop it back in. Either that or you can try unchecking the files folder in options...and then check it back.

I tried syncing w/o files and then with. Same issue remains.

Other thoughts?

I had that same problem the other day too. What I did to fix it was to:

1. Place my 2215 in the cradle
2. Minimize ActiveSync
3. Copy everything in the "Pocket_PC My Documents" folder on my desktop PC to a temp folder.
4. Delete all files in "Pocket_PC My Documents" on my desktop pc
5. Sync with my 2215 (in cradle the whole time)
6. Copy all my files from the temp folder back into the "Pocket_PC My Documents" on my desktop PC
7. Sync with my 2215 again (which has still not left the cradle.


That worked for me. Just make sure if there's any other files that you think you may lose that you back them up some where first.

I delete the partnership, but not hte files/folders, then just recreate the partnership. you don't have to change the name, but you do have to recreate a partnership. That I fould is fastest and easiest for me.
