Default Merging MP3 Files - Is this possible?

I have been fortunate enough to recently come across a series of historical speechs that have been converted to a .mp3 file extension. What I have been doing is converting these files to .wav using WMP 9 and listening to them on my PPC. In some cases the speeches are quite long and they have been split into 2 or 3 mp3 files.

My question is whether there is a way to merge two mp3 files into one .wav file?

As always, thanx in advance for any help/advice.

Well, this is for his Pocket PC, so I'll answer it here ;-)

A quick Google search found this:

Steve,

For what it's worth I did think about our sister site, but if you look at the description for the Multimedia category:

"Discussions about creating, encoding, and optimising digital pictures, audio, and video for the Pocket PC"

it seemed to fit my question perfectly. Maybe we need to revisit that description  .

Just a thought......

Thanx Jason. Just what I was looking for. Never thought about searching Google ops: . This site is such a great resource that sometimes I get lazy.

Well, it just seems that you can get the answer 5x's faster on DMT then here...

If Jason hadn't answered you'd still be waiting!

Yeah, I suggest everyone visit that site at least once a day. I find it extremely interesting. The people are friendly, and the discussion is small right now, but the topics are intriguing.

I have to ask... why are you converting the mp3's to wav files so you can listen to them on your PPC? a PPC is more than capable of playing an MP3

Cooledit (now taken over by Adobe and renamed Audition - but see if you can find cooledit) will do any audio editing you will ever require
